Commercial EPDM Rubber Granules for Landscape Flooring

This project is a renovation project completed in 2021. The old site used SBR as the main material to save costs, but soon the ground began to fall off and other problems occurred. After taking over, based on comprehensive considerations, we chose to use EPDM rubber granules as a substitute and successfully completed the project while ensuring cost.

We choose EPDM granules because of their environmentally friendly and non-toxic characteristics, which do not contain heavy metals and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and comply with strict environmental certifications Styrene butadiene rubber typically comes from recycled tires and may contain residual pollutants such as carbon black and sulfur, posing potential ecological risks.

EPDM has a flexible shock absorption structure that can reduce impact force by up to 70%, making it an ideal choice for high-frequency use areas Although SBR is cost-effective, it has low elasticity and uneven buffering, which increases the risk of slipping and injury under humid conditions.
