This is an early completed project, and based on the site conditions and customer requirements, we have chosen to use EPDM rubber particles with a thickness of ≥ 7mm as the surface material.Unlike silicone PU, which can degrade under prolonged UV exposure and extreme temperatures, EPDM granules boast exceptional UV stability and thermal resilience. They resist cracking, hardening, and color fading even in harsh climates, ensuring year-round usability. Silicone PU surfaces often require frequent recoating to address weather-induced wear, while EPDM maintains structural integrity with minimal maintenance.
Compared to the rigid rebound of silicone PU, the natural elasticity of EPDM provides excellent shock absorption and safety. This can reduce joint pressure during high impact activities such as basketball or running, and lower the risk of injury. Although silicone PU is durable, it lacks the same level of cushioning, which may increase athlete fatigue and long-term stress.
EPDM rubber granules redefine excellence in sports surfacing, offering unparalleled advantages over traditional silicone polyurethane (PU) systems. Engineered for performance, safety, and sustainability, EPDM outperforms silicone PU in critical aspects, making it the ideal choice for modern athletic facilities.
EPDM rubber granules deliver a future-proof sports flooring solution, outperforming silicone PU in safety, sustainability, design flexibility, and lifecycle value. By choosing EPDM, facilities invest in a surface that prioritizes athlete well-being, reduces long-term costs, and stands the test of time.
