Construction of Synthetic Basketball Courts
a) Base Requirements: Must be laid on asphalt or concrete with a flat, stable, and strong foundation.
b) Surface Preparation: Must be clean and dry. After asphalt/concrete curing:
Summer: Minimum 3 days drying time
Winter: Minimum 10 days drying time
(Ensures strong adhesion between the synthetic layer and base.)
c) Construction Process:
Base material laying → Mechanical mixing → Manual paving → Manual leveling → Line marking
Construction Procedure
a) Surface Preparation
i. Remove all dust thoroughly.
ii. Grind down or remove any protruding objects.
b) Primer Application
Apply polyurethane adhesive in a single coat to enhance bonding between the synthetic layer and base.
c) Material Mixing & Paving
i. Mixing Area: Lay plastic sheets to maintain cleanliness.
ii. Container Prep: Clean lids before opening.
iii. Mixing Order:First add rubber granules, then polyurethane adhesive.
Pour adhesive into the center (not along edges) to ensure proper mixing.
iv. Scrape Residuals: Clean container walls to avoid uneven mixing.
v. Container Size: Must be 1.5x the material volume.
vi. Small Batches: Use a scale for accurate measurements.
vii. Mixing Time: 3-5 minutes with a mixer (left-right motion for even blending).
viii. Base Layer (Black Granules):
Mix ratio: 6:1 (granules:adhesive)
Paving: Compact and level.
ix. Top Layer (Colored):
Primer: Single-component polyurethane adhesive.
Mix ratio: 1:5 (adhesive:black granules + pigment powder)
Paving: Apply in desired colors.
x. Working Time After Mixing:
Summer: 30-45 minutes
Winter: 1-2 hours
Curing Time: 12-24 hours
Full Bonding Time: 7 days
xi. Container Shape: Use round containers (avoid square/rectangular ones to prevent uneven mixing).
d) Line Marking
Follow standard court dimensions or client specifications.
Must be done by professionals.
Use measuring tape & ink markers for accuracy.
Paint: Must be polyurethane 685 white paint.
Maintenance & Care
Usage:
For sports training, competitions, and fitness only (no other purposes).
Initial Curing:
Allow 3-5 days after installation before use.
Edge Protection:
Avoid lifting edges; repair any damage immediately.

Vehicle traffic & heavy loads
Sharp objects (risk of cuts/scratches)
Chemical Safety:
Keep away from solvents, chemicals, cigarettes, and open flames.
Cleaning:
Regular water washing
Use detergent for oil stains.
