


The 9mm prefabricated rubber track around the lake is an important urban renewal plan that integrates environmentally friendly materials,advanced engineering, and aesthetic landscape design to create a first-class outdoor leisure space. This trail project is 9km long andlocated in Wuxi, China. It is a sustainable and functional center for jogging, walking, and leisure activities, attracting local residents and tourists.
Considering design innovation and cost control in the product, the trail ultimately chose to use a 9mm thick prefabricated rubber track system with a double-layer structure:
EPDM surface layer:Top layer is originally designed for performing uniform abrasion and friction at every spot on surface. Unique, but also unified, top layer design helps quick drainage of surfaces and is capable of easy maintenance and cleaning.This layer is designed for all-weather durability, with excellent anti slip performance, UV resistance, and color stability, ensuring safety and visual appeal even in harsh weather conditions.
Natural Rubber Base Layer: The bottom layer is specially designed to provide excellent force reduction and stable adhesion with the base floor. The structure is more efficient in shock absorption and restoring energy to athletes.This layer combines closed cell foam technology with concave design to optimize shock absorption and energy return and reduce joint and muscle fatigue of users. Its 9mm thickness balances comfort and structural integrity, making it an ideal choice for high-frequency public use.
The width of the rubber track roll selected this time is 3m, which is sufficient for users to engage in sports activities such as walking, running, and cycling. In addition, due to its prefabricated nature, it can be seamlessly installed and directly adhered to a compact asphalt base using polyurethane adhesive, achieving rapid deployment and immediate availability after installation.
