IAAF公認陸上競技ランニングトラック

From the geometric aesthetics of the 36.5-meter curve radius to the biomechanical protection of the 13mm composite structure, a true international standard athletic running track is the crystallization of mathematics, materials science and sports science.

IAAF's Standard Core Parameters

Basic geometric structure

Curve radius: 36.5 meters (accurate to ±0.01m), ensuring balanced centrifugal force for athletes, and speed loss in curves ≤3%;

Straight track length: 84.39 meters × 2 (straight section) + 115.61 meters × 2 (curved section), total length 400 meters ±0.04m;

Lane width: 1.22 meters ±0.01m, 8 tracks with a total width of 9.76 meters, and a 1.5-meter buffer zone is required on the outside of the 8th track.

Slope and drainage system

Transverse slope: 0.3%-1% (controlled by laser leveler) to prevent water accumulation;

Longitudinal slope: ≤0.1% (≤10cm per 100 meters drop) to avoid physical loss in the sprint section;

Drainage efficiency: drained within 30 minutes under heavy rain conditions (50mm/h), and the porosity of the permeable concrete layer is ≥25%.

Materials and Structure:

Layered Design (Total Thickness 13mm±1mm)

Elastic Layer: 9mm thick polyurethane + EPDM particle mixed layer, impact absorption rate 35%-50%;

Wear-resistant layer: 3mm self-grained surface layer, friction coefficient 0.7-0.8 (dry-wet state difference ≤0.05);

Anti-slip particles: particle size 0.5-2mm, density ≥5kg/㎡, resistant to 100,000 times of stepping on spikes without falling off.

Environmental protection indicators

Heavy metal content: soluble lead ≤10mg/kg (1/5 of China standard GB 36246-2018);

VOC release: ≤5g/L (72-hour environmental chamber method test);

Weather resistance: -40℃ to 70℃ cycle test for 1000 hours, tensile strength retention rate ≥90%.

Construction Accuracy

Line positioning

Use RTK satellite positioning system (accuracy ±2mm) to calibrate the center of the circle and the demarcation point of the straight and curved sections. The error of the circumference of 400 meters is ≤1cm. The arc length calculation formula of the curve is:

階層構造

Bottom layer paving: polyurethane glue and black particles are mixed in a ratio of 1:5, the paver travel speed is ≤1m/min, and the thickness error is ±0.3mm;

Surface layer spraying: high-pressure airless sprayer (pressure ≥200bar) forms 0.5-1mm self-tightening texture, texture depth 0.3-0.8mm;

Marking process: hot-melt marking paint has weather resistance of level 5, and the line width error is ≤±1mm.

Drainage test

Simulate 50mm/h rainfall intensity, infrared thermal imager detects water accumulation points, and areas with unqualified slopes need to be milled and re-paved.

Acceptance criteria: hard-core testing with data

Physical performance

Flatness: 3m ruler full-field scanning, allowable error ≤3mm (qualified rate ≥90%);

Ball rebound rate: standard basketball rebounds 1.2-1.4m after falling 3m;

Anti-slip value: pendulum friction meter detection ≥47BPN.

Environmental protection acceptance

Sampling on site is sent to CMA laboratory to test 19 harmful substances (including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and short-chain chlorinated paraffins);

TVOC≤0.08mg/m³ 7 days after completion (equivalent to indoor air quality standards).

Event-level certification

IAAF Class 1 certification: 12 dynamic performance tests must be passed (including energy return and vertical deformation);

China Athletics Association acceptance: submit full-process construction images and material traceability reports.

Multifunctional Expansion

Auxiliary training area: Long jump sand pit (≥9m×2.75m) and shot put throwing area (2.135m in diameter) can be integrated on the outside of the straight track;

Color zoning: Inorganic pigments are used to divide the training area (blue), competition area (red), and buffer area (green);

Intelligent upgrade: Strain sensors are implanted to monitor the changes in the elastic modulus of the runway in real time and warn of structural damage.
